Mertensia virginica

Virginia Bluebells

#1

Pink buds change to blue, bell shaped flowers in late April. Flowering in early to mid-spring, Virginia Bluebells prefer some moisture. Naturally occuring along river banks. This is a spring ephemeral, so the foliage will be dormant late spring.
